3. . State of Purpose (SOP) - Students need to write an SOP for 1.5 or 2 pages talking about their previous education, career goals, future goals, and why they want to study in Switzerland. They must mention their preferred university for masters degree or a Swiss Hotel School. Just anything that might stand out from their application.
4. . CV/Resume - Mention your employment, education, and other achievements in your resume.
5. .  Letter of Recommendation - Attach a letter highlighting your academic or professional achievement. This will add value to your application -
• Take a recommendation letter if you are working after graduation from your supervisor.
• If you are applying while still in your final year, try to take recommendation letters from referees who have taught you. You can also grab them from the Principal/Dean/Director.
• Remember that some Swiss universities require online recommendation letters. Therefore, you are required to register the referees online where you will receive an email from the university regarding submitting the letter.
• Provide the email of the Institution or Organization, not Gmail, Yahoo, or Outlook.
• The referee will have to then submit the letter before the deadline.
• Many Swiss universities prefer at least 2 recommendation letters.
6. . Work Experience - If you do not have work experience, do not worry. It is not mandatory to have work experience for studying masters in Switzerland. However, you must work after your graduation to get the advantage of standing out. You may take up a part-time job. Universities in Switzerland will also advise you to include work experience letters during the time of application filling if you have a gap between your last education and the time of applying for MS in Switzerland.

Overall, Switzerland is an expensive country to visit but that does not stop you from pursuing your masters degree in Switzerland. For accommodation, students can get student halls and some universities also provide on-campus housing. But they are limited and because the competition is high, you must contact your university beforehand with specific information.

You can also get shared flats, which is the most common way to live in Switzerland. They are available at low prices at great locales. If you have more budget, you can go for medium-sized private accommodation as well.

For food, you can shop at the local Swiss supermarket and use public transport for daily commuting (if you are living off-campus). You can find a job while you are studying for a masters in Switzerland to support your expenses. However, there are a few restrictions that you, as a non-Swiss student, must remember. You can only work for 15 hours each week and for those from outside the EU and EFTA zone, you cannot work earlier than 6 months after the starting of your masters semester.
